Science Cooking Gnocchi Reflection

Yesterday we had a class cooking day. Sense next week is sky week, and we had just finished a big Chemistry project we decided that this week would be a cooking week. Around the end of last week we started talking this project. It took us about two day to finally decide that we where going to split into 4 groups (of two) and each make a different type of pasta and a sauce. Each group found there pasta and sauce on the internet. The groups where Andrew, Taelon who made linguine with alfredo sauce. Charmaine, and Sherif who madeĀ linguine with marinara sauce. Ruby and Alex who made tortellini with marinara, and lastly Bri and I who made Gnocchi with cheese sauce. Then this past Tuesday we went on a field trip to a local La Jolla store to get the ingredients we needed to cook. Sense the 8th graders are cook this week also we decided that Wednesday would be all Science for us, and Thursday would be all science for the 8th graders so we had a full day to cook and when we where done we could eat our pastas for lunch. I think on cooking day everything went good (for us at least) except I accidently took the wrong potatoes out of the fridge (sorry again Bri) but I don’t think it affected the taste, just the labor. Overall I had great time doing that and eat everybody’s pastas.
