This is Uranus, made of gas with many moons - Rob
We’ve been studying planets in Science. My planet was/is Uranus, Rob likes to make jokes about my planet. We made a scale and this is how big Uranus would be.
I Get Into my Music
Today we went on an adventure to the UCSD campus (the fifth, and sixth graders are at camp so we decided this would be the best time to go on an adventure). We’d been “planing” this trip sense last week and decided sense we were interested in the library, and Lisa (Anthony’s mom) work there in the Anthropology lab, and she had invited us (we wouldn’t just show up without an invitation) , and it was close to school, driving distance, not walking distance, it would be perfect.
Now I should add we are a bit of a forgetful group, and get easily distracted, so we might have started planing Wednesday at our last period of the day (our trip was on Thursday). I ashamedly say I was a bit distanced on Wednesday (Tobin and Sydney visited) and also being a member of the a bit forgetful, and easily distracted group, I went home and completely forgot that we are going on an adventure tomorrow, so thank you to some of my amazing classmate for doing all the the rest of us should have. Lastly this morning was a bit of a mess, but in the end we definitely pulled it together and had great time.
I had a great time today (besides the walking) and loved to do it again. I think our biggest delay, and my biggest personal disappointment was being unprepared. It has been a bit of a busy week, and its was our first adventure, he should have no excuses for our next adventure. Overall it was a great day, and I’m sorry Charmaine if I hit you from my dancing c:
My dæmon would be my shadow. I chose my shadow for many reasons:
1. Incase deeded, she could hide basically anywhere (at night).
2. A shadow is darkness, meaning it could possibly take over peoples souls or something darkness does in movies.
3. Who does want a shadow for a dæmon
And her name would be Shadow.
In case your wondering what the Grumpbutts might look like. Here you go. Unfortunately Periwinkle doesn’t like pictures so sees not in this one
Cough drop on a stick
For our latest science project we’ve been studying sugar. When burning sugar it turns into different phases: Thread, soft ball, firm ball, hard ball, soft crack, and hard crack. I was paired with Andrew, and we made cherry flavored lollipops. The other two groups made carmel apples, and gummies. We researched a recipe that I think worked well but unfortunately we missed a very important word that caused our first try to turn very wrong. I’d rather not mention it because I’m embarrassed.
Although at the end we did put to much flavoring in it and it kind of tasted like a cough drop on a stick I think this project worked out well and I had a fun time doing it.
